Forté technical tips – New Generation Engine Flush

AUDI A3 1.8 L Petrol Turbo 2001 174k

Oil light flashing on and off when driven under load, suspect fault due to oil contamination build up in the sump and on the oil pick up pipe.

The fault was cured by carrying out a 1-hour New Generation Engine Flush. The owner also reported after 1,000 miles that the oil light had not come on.


BMW 530d 3.0L 2006 148k

Lack of power due to engine running in limp mode, engine management and DPF warning light on. Fault code stored for DPF blockage, unable to carry out regeneration of DPF due to soot loading.

The fault was cured by removing the DPF to manually clean using DPF Off-Car Cleaner as per instructions, carrying out an extended New Generation Engine Flush and adding Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner and DPF Cleaner & Regenerator into the fuel tank. The vehicle was then taken on an extended road test.


BMW 750 5.0 L 2007 88k

Excessive oil burning and smoking on idle, burning 1 litre of oil every 3-400 miles. Suspect fault due to bore lacquering and sticking piston rings.

The fault was cured by adding 2 x New Generation Engine Flush and the owner driving for 500 miles, the oil and filter was then replaced adding 2 x Oil Fortifier into the new oil. After 1500 miles the owner reported the smoke had stopped and the engine had not used any oil and he was very happy with the result.


PORSCHE BOXSTER S 3.2L 2000 60k

Hunting on idle and engine management fault code stored P1341 camshaft adjustment bank 1 VVT. Suspect fault due to sticking variable valve timing.

The fault was cured by carrying out a 1 hour New Generation Engine Flush and adding Top End Treatment to the new oil.


VAUXHALL ASTRA 1.4 16v Twinport 2006 89k

Excessive noise from hydraulic valve lifters and timing chain noisy. Suspect fault due to heavily contaminated oil from lack of servicing.

The fault was cured by adding New Generation Engine Flush and flushing the engine for 2 ½ hours and adding Top End Treatment and Oil System Protector to the new oil. The vehicle was taken on an extended road test, the engine noise had gone and the customer was very impressed with the results.


VAUXHALL VECTRA

Lack of power and engine management light on. Suspect fault due to variable valve timing sticking.

The fault was cured by removing and cleaning the VVT solenoids and carrying out a 45 min New Generation Engine Flush adding Top End Treatment to the new oil and Advanced Formula Petrol Treatment to the fuel tank.
